Privacy Policy

Card Radar is a trading card price aggregator, collection tracker, and card scanner operated at cardradar.gg. This policy describes what information Card Radar collects, how Card Radar uses it, and the choices you have.

• Account data: your email address, display name, and hashed password. Card Radar supports email and password sign-in, and social sign-in through Google. If you sign in with Google, Card Radar receives your email address, name, and profile image from Google; Card Radar does not receive your Google password.
• Collection and activity data: the cards and products you add to collections, watchlists, alerts, saved searches, trades, and scan history. This is tied to your Card Radar account so you see the same state across devices.
• Scan images: photos you submit through the scanner are processed to identify the card or product. For new photos submitted under the scanner photo policy, Card Radar may retain card and slab scan photos for up to 90 days from the first submission of each saved scan for identification, quality review, model training and evaluation to improve our scanner. Selected photos, scan results, and corrections may be used for these purposes; not every photo is used for training. We do not sell scan photos. Storage and processing providers may handle them on our behalf, as described below. This archive does not include camera video or photos used only for barcode lookups; submitted still frames may be included.
• Technical data: IP address, device type, browser details, and request logs that Card Radar uses to operate the service, debug errors, and prevent abuse.

Photos first submitted under this policy may help us improve card recognition. Before an image is used for model training or evaluation, reviewers check the card front, its identification label and the crop for private information. Backgrounds, slab labels and photo metadata are excluded from training images. We treat these crops as de-identified and revocable, not anonymous.

You can turn off scanner improvement below or through the Card Radar contact form. This stops future training and evaluation use and queues retained training images for deletion. You can continue scanning, and submitted photos may still be retained for identification and quality review. Existing withdrawals remain in effect. Account deletion also removes contributions unless you separately choose to keep the specifically listed reviewed crops. Each retained crop keeps its original expiry, no later than 90 days after the original scan. Review, training, renewed permission and account closure never extend that deadline.

We retain a restricted email lookup and permission record to handle verified private deletion requests while contributions remain. These are kept out of training data and removed after the corresponding closed or withdrawn contributions are deleted. Your account's scanner improvement setting remains until you change it or delete your account. Account closure gives you a private receipt for withdrawal here. If you lose it, use our private contact form so we can verify your request. Deleting a contribution does not automatically undo learning in an existing model.

• Provide and maintain the service (search, scan, collection tracking, alerts).
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• Route you to partner stores using affiliate links so we can earn a referral commission when a purchase is made.
• Improve search quality and scanner accuracy, including training and evaluation using eligible scan photos and corrections.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

• Infrastructure providers that host, store, or process data on our behalf (database, object storage, email delivery, analytics) under contractual obligations.
• Partner stores when you click through an affiliate link. The link itself may include a referral identifier; we do not share your account data with those stores.
• Legal authorities when required by valid legal process.

Card Radar uses first-party cookies for sign-in sessions, user preferences, and invite-based site access. Card Radar does not run cross-site advertising trackers and does not sell personal information. Card Radar honors browser-level "Do Not Track" and global privacy control signals where technically feasible; even without those signals, cross-site ad targeting is not part of how Card Radar works.

Card Radar keeps account and collection data for as long as your account is active so you can come back to it. When you request deletion, the account is deactivated immediately, personal data is purged from active systems within 30 days, and any residual copies in encrypted backups age out within 90 days after that. Retention beyond these windows applies only where a specific legal obligation requires it or you separately choose the limited contribution retention described above. Its restricted rights lookup remains only while those retained contributions await expiry or deletion.

Each saved scan submitted under this policy expires no later than 90 days after its first submission, whether or not it has been used for training. Reprocessing a saved scan does not extend its retention period. Expired photos are no longer eligible for training or evaluation. Automatic storage deletion typically occurs within 24 hours after expiry, rather than at the exact expiry time.

Photos submitted before this policy remain subject to the terms in effect when they were submitted. This change does not make older submissions eligible for the new training archive. Deleting stored photos does not automatically remove their effect from models already trained.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information Card Radar holds about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. File a request through the Card Radar contact formto exercise these rights.

Card Radar is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by in-app notice.
