How we feature partner shops

Each week we feature one approved partner shop on Card Radar. Selection runs automatically every Sunday at 12:00 AM Eastern Time and the chosen shop is featured through Saturday 11:59 PM ET.

Selection criteria

Eligible shops are partners with status = active. The algorithm scores each eligible shop on three signals:

• Rotation fairness (50%): The longer it has been since a shop was last featured, the higher this score.
• Partner investment (30%): A shop's active commission rate (capped at 5%), used as a proxy for engagement until we have richer signals.
• Newcomer bonus (20%): First-time features get a small boost so new shops experience the platform.

A no-repeat window prevents the same shop from being featured back-to-back. The window scales with the partner pool: 1 week with 2 partners, 4 weeks with 5, and caps at 8 weeks once we have 9 or more.

What we don't do

• We don't accept payment for a feature slot. Money cannot move a shop up the rotation.
• We don't exclude Sakuras' Card Shop. It is in the rotation with identical scoring weights as every other approved partner.
• We don't apply ownership boosts or demotions. The algorithm doesn't know which shop David runs.

How to verify

Every weekly rotation is recorded in a public history at /partners/showcase-history. You can scroll back and confirm any shop's frequency, including ours. If the history shows the house shop featured more often than other shops over a long enough window, something is wrong and we want to hear about it.

Search ranking

The featured shop and search ranking are independent systems. Card Radar's search ranks listings by relevance, popularity, and lowest delivered total. The house shop gets no boost; when another shop beats it on price, that shop is the front-facing listing.
